


Dennis Day
Con-Way Freight
Dennis Day has been a professional truck driver for 29 years and has accumulated 2.7 million accident-free miles. He is a long-haul driver for Con-way Freight.
Several days each month, Dennis speaks to the news media, schools, community groups, and industry and government officials about highway safety and the essentiality of the trucking industry.
Dennis has placed first in the Georgia State Truck Driving Championships 8 times. He earned the title of Georgia State Grand Champion in 2004 and placed first at the National Truck Driving Championships in 2007 in the Twin Trailers division. Dennis has also received the following honors: Georgia Driver of the Year in 1998, Con-way's 3rd Quarter Leader Award in 2005 and 2007, and One and Two Million Safe Driving Miles Awards. He was a member of the Georgia State Road Team from 1997-1999. He is also a member of Operation Lifesaver and is a Driver Trainer for Con-way Freight. Dennis has participated in the Con-way Company Truck Driving Championships since 2004.
He is a member of the Highway Watch® and Trucker Buddy programs.
Dennis and his wife, Maryann, reside in Lawrenceville, GA. They have two children.
